My husband and I had some success with the pinhooking partnership but became frustrated with an inability to meet knowledgeable people in the industry as well as not getting the advice and direction we needed. Fortunately, this is when we found Dapple Bloodstock. This was the beginning of a successful relationship that has taken me to places within the world of horse racing that I never dreamed I would see.
With Mike's help and advice we selected broodmares and looked at stallions for matings. It is a consistent process of culling and purchasing new bloodstock to reach our goals.
Dapple Bloodstock have been there to offer expert advice and they have kept me focused in the right direction. The year 2003 was the highlight of my breeding experience when I had two very nice horses that I had raised and earned over half a million dollars each. In June of 2004 I received an award from The Governor of Virginia as the breeder of the Virginia Bred Horse of the Year.
